Pulsar was pleased to assist HBD with securing planning permission for three industrial units along Tewin Road towards the east of Welwyn Garden City, in Hertfordshire. The site currently incorporates a car dealership and an area of vacant land that was previously a former gasholder site (decommissioned and demolished).
The three proposed industrial units would comprise approximately 6,400sqm of flexible B2, B8 and E(g)(iii) land use floorspace. The site would also accommodate four loading bays, 70 car parking spaces and 36 cycle parking spaces.
Pulsar provided initial advice on the transport aspects of the site and then assisted Jefferson Sheard Architects with the site layout. This included preparation of the site access drawings, advice on a suitable level of parking provision and vehicle swept path analysis. Following pre-application discussions with Hertfordshire County Council’s highways department, Pulsar prepared the Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to support the planning application.
The scheme obtained planning consent in September 2022, and Pulsar is currently assisting HBD with the Section 278 Agreement.
