Pulsar has assisted Farrans Construction with a planning application for a proposed new performing arts academy in the London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF) near Blackhorse Lane. The academy is proposed on the former Willowfields School site on Clifton Avenue and would accommodate up to 400 pupils. The proposals also include a new theatre venue that would be used by the students to support their studies but would also be made available for community use and to host shows for the wider public.
Pulsar has assisted the client through the pre-application process with design input / attendance at a public exhibition and prepared the Transport Statement, Travel Plan and Delivery & Servicing Plans to support the planning application; as well as post-submission support. This has included preparation of a Detailed Construction Logistics Plan that has been signed off by LBWF.
The scheme was approved at Planning Committee in June 2019. Pulsar are now assisting Farrans Construction with the Enabling and Detailed Highways Design / S278 works.
