Congratulations to our client, Lanbury London and our fellow project team consultants for gaining planning approval for a residential backland scheme in Peckham (in the London Borough of Southwark).
The scheme, designed by Aros Architects, involves the demolition of vacant warehouse buildings and the construction of six (three-bedroom) houses.
Given the backland nature of the site, a key transport issue was the suitability of the pedestrian and vehicle access to the site. Pulsar was able to demonstrate that the development could be safely accessed by residents / visitors as well as the refuse collection and emergency services. In addition to undertaking swept path analysis to inform the design, Pulsar prepared a Transport Statement and advised on car / cycle parking provision.
