Pulsar is increasingly being commissioned to prepare Construction Logistics Plans (CLPs) to either accompany planning applications or to discharge pre-commencement planning conditions. Many London boroughs, in particular, require CLPs to be prepared as part of the planing submission so that they can understand the impact of construction on the pedestrian environment and on traffic conditions.

In most cases, the boroughs require the CLP to be prepared in accordance with Transport for London guidelines. Pulsar is fully au fait with this guidance and, for example, has recently become the first consultancy to prepare a CLP that meets the standards expected by the London Borough of Waltham Forest (LBWF).

CLPs often require the preparation of multiple plans showing logistics arrangements during different phases of construction, as well as swept path plans demonstrating that various types of vehicle and plant can serve the site satisfactorily.
