Pulsar assisted Hampton Hick Ltd on their recently consented scheme for the proposed redevelopment of 1 St James’s Road, Hampton Hill within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The residential scheme involves the demolition of an existing two-storey residential building and construction of nine flats.
Pulsar provided transport advice at an early stage; particularly on access and parking arrangements. Key transport issues included the design of off-street parking, perceived impact on the current on-street parking supply and construction vehicle arrangements. A parking survey and a review of local car ownership rates demonstrated that the scheme would be providing sufficient car parking for the development.
As well as providing design advice in the form of swept path analysis, Pulsar also produced a Transport Statement and an Outline Construction Logistics Plan to support the application.
